FORT WORTH, Texas _ Vaqueros playmaker Hilton Ngwa produced a stellar effort on Thursday despite the losing scoreline as the Vaqueros fell 4-3 to the top team in the NPSL South Central Conference at Texas Wesleyan University’s Martin Field.
The match was the Vaqueros’ third match in five days.

FORT WORTH, Texas _ The Vaqueros took a break from NPSL South Central Conference play on Saturday against a Major League Soccer developmental squad where they fell, 3-0, to the Houston Dynamo u-23s.
The Vaqueros return home for a break from NPSL South Central Conference action for an exhibition match against the Houston Dynamo u-23 squad at 7:30 pm at Martin Field at Texas Wesleyan.
The Vaqueros have a tight home schedule due to the exhibition and a make up match on Tuesday due to a rainout earlier this season. The schedule will see Fort Worth play Saturday, Tuesday (June 30), Thursday (July 2) and Saturday (July 4) at home.
SAGINAW, Texas _ Fort Worth’s attacking duo of Dade Horton and Nestor Martinez proved too dangerous for the Liverpool Warriors Tuesday night in NPSL action as the Vaqueros earned a 3-1 victory behind the duo’s stellar play at Saginaw’s Rough Rider Stadium.
TULSA, Okla. _ The Vaqueros were short-handed in more ways than one on Saturday. A red-card plus the absence of a top-defender saw the Vaqueros fall 7-1 to the Tulsa Athletics in Oklahoma during NPSL South Central Conference play.
The Vaqueros head back out on the highway for a single-game journey to Tulsa after playing on the road to Houston and San Antonio last weekend. In the Alamo City, Fort Worth became the first team this season to earn the first points of the season off of South Central Conference leader San Antonio. Fort Worth picked up a significant road point with a 1-1 draw in Alamo City from the previously perfect Corinthians.
Tulsa enters the match in last place but fresh off a 3-3 draw with third place Joplin. Tulsa won the South Central Conference the past two seasons but has struggled to find form this year.
The Fort Worth Vaqueros became the first team of the season to take a point from the Corinthians in San Antonio, earning a 1-1 against the South Central Conference leaders.
Corinthians entered the match with a perfect 7-0 record but now sits 7-0-1 for 22 points.
HOUSTON _ The Fort Worth Vaqueros were 15 minutes away from their first road win of the season. Instead, late pressure from the home team resulted in mistakes by the visitors and the Houston Regals earned a 2-1 victory against Fort Worth on Friday.
The match marked the first of a two-game road weekend for Fort Worth. The Vaqueros (1-3-2, 5 points) head to San Antonio for a match on Sunday against the first place Corinthians (6-0, 18 points).
FORT WORTH, Texas _ It took some heroics from Fort Worth goalkeeper Arturo Sanchez, but the Vaqueros bounced back from their recent loss to FC Wichita with a 1-0 shutout of the Joplin Demize. It was Fort Worth’s first win of the season, moving their record to 1-2-2, 5 points, while the Joplin Demize fell to 4-1-1, 13 points. Joplin defeated Fort Worth 2-1 in Missouri on May 23, so it was a bit of payback match for the Vaqueros.
