Connor Doyle played another full 90 for D.C. United, and the four time MLS Cup Champions fought hard, but the hometown player and his club fell to FC Dallas, 2-1, as newly named MLS All-Star Fabian Castillo pounced on a loose ball in the box deep into stoppage time.
FC Dallas was able to grab a goal late thanks to MLS All-Star Fabian Castillo and beat Eastern Conference leading D.C. United 2-1 in front of a loud 16,215 crowd tonight that saw a quality game between two of the top league sides.
Major League Soccer released its “MLS All-Star Fan XI” today, and while a number of key players were chosen (surprisingly well done by the fans with really just one exception), it was the Commissioner himself who made a mockery of the announcement when he decided to add two marquee players who have yet to play a single minute in MLS – ever – to the roster as his “Commissioner’s Picks.”
