FC Dallas select Goalkeeper in first round of SuperDraft

FC Dallas had a void for a third goalkeeper with Dan Kennedy leaving, they filled it drafting Ryan Herman from Washington University. Herman is a six-foot-seven keeper who was a third team All-American who comes into a situation where he does not need to play immediately and can learn over the next few seasons. This might be a situation where he is sent on a loan to a USL squad or he could just continue to get first team training from one of the best goalkeeper coaches in the league at FC Dallas. All in all, Dallas was not going to get a player who would be first team ready and there is no guarantee the player at this point makes it one season (see Otis Earle), Dallas took a pic they can develop for a few years in the event a squad from Mexico makes Dallas an offer on Jesse Gonzalez that Dallas has to take.
