Pareja proud of boys in tough 2-1 loss

FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja showed a lot of respect in the 2-1 defeat to the Los Angeles Galaxy in front of a packed house on Saturday night to see the two teams play.

“It was a beautiful night in Frisco,” Pareja said. “Two teams did not give up, and unfortunately we came up short.  I am very proud of this team.”

Pareja knows his team had a rough second half in their loss, and even though the Galaxy scored one goal, Pareja was going for three points.

“They had a good reaction after we gave up the first goal to a play we control normally,” he said. “On the second goal we did not want to stop attacking, and they were able to take advantage.”

Pareja has seen Micheal Barrios grow a lot over the last few weeks along with the rest of the team.

“Barrios and the whole team are growing,” he said. “Barrios is getting adjusted to the league and is starting to contribute weekly.”

The one thing that had many fans asking questions is Je-Vaughn Watson at center back over Walker ZImmerman. Pareja decided to go with experience.

“I thought he would be able to handle Keane better in that situation,” he said.
