Dallas City FC will be playing its fifth game at home for the 2015 season against another DFW area team, the Liverpool Warriors, and despite some recent bad results the White Lions remain in 4th place of the South Central Conference of the NPSL. At the moment Dallas City FC is in apposition to make the playoffs.
Dallas City FC and Liverpool will face each other this Saturday for the second consecutive time this season. Last Tuesday the Lions lost to the Warriors playing with 9 players for more than 45 minutes.
On top of recent results, Dallas City FC has lost three key players that have been called up to preseason training in Mexico with a good chance of signing a professional contract. The team has also lost two other players temporarily due to injury, Kristian Quintana, a central defender with a quadriceps tear and Justin Welge, a right back with an orbital bone fracture. Both injuries occurred in last Saturdays match between San Antonio vs Corinthians FC.
Thanks to the reserve system put in place last August 2014, Dallas City FC has been able to cover those spots with Homero Montemayor, a 19 year old central defender, and Alex Guerrero, another central defender with 23 yrs of age. Dallas City FC is one of the only teams that uses a U-23 and U-20 system.
