FORT WORTH, Texas _ Today FC Dallas trained at the Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on the campus of TCU in Fort Worth ahead of their U.S. Open Cup match against Oklahoma City Energy FC. The match on Tuesday will be played at the same stadium.
Normal Pre-Matchday Practice
The team did their normal training that they usually do during practice on the day before a match.
Tesho Akindele, Je-Vaughn Watson, Atiba Harris and Moises Hernandez were all absent due to international duty. Matt Hedges only did side work, and did not participate in any team drills. He was not limping due to his hamstring injury however. Although the US U-20s were knocked out of the FIFA U-20 World Cup over the weekend, Kellyn Acosta was not in training today.
All three goalkeepers were very involved in practice. They all took drills in equal amounts.
The team played a full squad drill which was very intense. There was a lot of yelling and every available player was working hard. It was obvious Oscar Pareja is not taking tomorrow lightly, and not letting Saturday escape his mind, nor are the players.
