San Antonio Scorpions at Atlanta Silverbacks – Match Preview

Saturday the Scorpions will travel to Atlanta to face the Silverbacks who sit one spot above them in the table. San Antonio is currently sitting 10th. With two games left in the Spring Season, every point matters.
With some aggressive play and with some luck with how some of the other matches play out on Saturday the Scorpions could find themselves in 5th place going into the final weekend of the season. It was this game last season that sparked six game road wining streak which also set a NASL record. Wins final two games could provide the momentum that the Scorpions need going into the fall season and also if they plan to defend their 2014 title. This game will be broadcast on ESPN3 at 6:30pm CST.
In other Scorpions news this week midfielder Joseph Nane was selected to the NASL Team of the week after his strong performance in the 1-1 draw against Ft. Lauderdale last Saturday at Toyota Field.
San Antonio defender Nana Attakora was tapped by Canada Manager Alen Marcina to represent his country in the upcoming CONCACAF Preliminary Round of Qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
