Pareja ready to go versus Sporting Kansas City

pareja_vLAGFC Dallas gets ready to take on a red hot Sporting Kansas City this Friday. Head coach Oscar Pareja was excited about his team at practice this week and feels that they’re up to the challenge.

“Training was good this week,” he said. “The team responded well to all of the things we wanted them to do and are ready to go for Friday.”

Pareja had a simple message for the team this week as they look to bounce back against Sporting Kansas City this week.

“I made sure to remind them that they’re a good squad,” he said. “I wanted to make sure that they know that games like last week happen and we need to bounce back from it.”

Pareja knows that even though Dallas beat Sporting Kansas City earlier in the season, each game is different and beating them in Kansas City will be difficult.

“Kansas City is a good team,” he said. “They are looking good and we will look at the film to see what worked against them the last time we played them and see if it could work again.”

FC Dallas new signing Rolando Escobar will be traveling with the team this weekend as he received all the paperwork to play before this weekend. Parjea has been pleased with him so far.

“He has looked good in training so far,” he said. “We are very pleased with how well he has done so far.”

FC Dallas top two midfielders Mauro Diaz and Fabian Castillo are both questionable this week, Pareja will keep an eye on them before a final decision is made.

“We will see how they both feel after today,” he said. “They are both doing fine and are doing well in the side work.”

FC Dallas travel to Sporting Kansas City this Friday at 8 PM on UniMas.
