The team was ready to get back at today and did some fitness at the start like usual. They did a few more drills which is more than they did last Tuesday so the intensity is already there in front of a packed house of college coaches along with former FC Dallas assistant coach John Ellinger.
On the injury front, Mario Diaz missed practice with the team again today. Oscar still wants to evaluate him day to day and thinks he could be back tomorrow.
Goalkeeper Dan Kennedy is still nursing his back injury and Chris Seitz was out as his wife is expecting another baby today.
Other availability situations
Tesho Akindele left early as Oscar wants him to get extra rest. Coy Craft did train with the team today as it appears he has gotten over his illness. Oscar expects Kyle Bekker and Je-Vaughn Watson back in training tomorrow. Moises Hernandez and Blas Perez on Thursday.
Blast from the Past
One player trained with FC Dallas not on the roster and it was Bryan Leyva who was the first youth system player to be signed to a professional contract. Oscar was happy to have him train with the team today and wishes him the best.
