Dallas Sidekicks prepare to face Rio Grande Valley Flash

The Dallas Sidekicks return to action this weekend when the club travels to Hidalgo, Texas to face the Rio Grande Valley Flash on Jan. 19.

The game will be the fourth and final team the clubs will meet in the regular season.

The Sidekicks defeated the Flash 5-2 in the teams’ last meeting on Jan. 3 in Allen, and maintains a 3-0 season series lead. Dallas has outscored the Flash 19-8 in the three meetings.

Dallas enters the game coming off a 6-2 victory over the Chicago Mustangs on Jan. 12 in Allen. The win gave the Sidekicks a one-game lead over Chicago for first place in the Central Division.

Rio Grande Valley hasn’t played a match since defeating the Texas Strikers 10-1 Jan. 4 in Beaumont. The Flash sit in third place in the Central Division, three-and-a-half games behind first place Dallas. After a string of disappointing results, the Flash have made a number of roster changes with an eye to being more competitive against the best in the league.
