Dallas looks to avenge season’s only loss

The Dallas Sidekicks enters Saturday’s home match against the Chicago Mustangs looking to get back to its winning ways.
Dallas (8-1) enters the game coming off its first defeat of the season, an 8-7 overtime loss to Chicago (8-2) on Jan. 6.
The Sidekicks entered the fourth quarter of the game with a 3-2 lead, only to allow the Mustangs to score 5 goals in the final quarter while netting only 4 goals. Chicago’s Bryan Velazquez completed the comeback when he notched the winning goal 4:57 minutes into overtime.
Despite the loss, the Sidekicks hold a half-game Central Division lead over the Mustangs.
Franck Mbemba leads Sidekicks players in points with 22 (16 goals, 6 assists), followed by Jamie Lovegrove’s 18 (14 goals, 4 assists).
Nestor Hernandez paces the Chicago club with 34 points (23 goals, 11 assists), good for third-most in the PASL.
Saturday’s match starts at 7 p.m. at the Allen Event Arena.
